Even while he was a wise man who was graced by Lord Shiva, Devas did not treat him with the respect and honor he deserved. He felt like he had been treated badly, so he chose to teach and lead the Asuras. Guru Shukracharya taught the Asuras how to fight, deal with politics, and use weapons.
In the epic Mahabharata, it says that Shukracharya spent his whole life meditating and working hard to win over the gods. He also made a lot of mantras, rasas, and medications, which he taught to his students.
In Vedic astrology, Guru Shukracharya is the planet Venus, which is one of the Navagraha. It is in charge of the Taurus and Libra signs. Venus is a symbol of femininity, beauty, love, having children, art, and pleasure.
Stories about Shukracharya, who was the Guru of Demons
Maharishi Bhrigu was Sage Shukracharya’s father, and Kavya Mata or Khyati was his mother. Shukracharya began to learn from the great Angiras rishi, along with Brihaspati, so he could get an education (son of sage Angiras). But he saw that Angiras, the maharishi, liked his son Brihaspati more than him. He then started studying under the wise Gautama after leaving the ashram.
Guru Shukracharya had 4 children with his wife Urjaswati. Their names were Chanda, Amarka, Tvastr, and Dharaatra. He had a daughter named Devyani with his second wife, who was the daughter of Lord Indra.

Death of Shukracharya 's mother
Khyati, the wife of the mind-born rishi Bhrigu, was a strong ascetic woman. In Devi Bhagavat Purana, there is a story about the war between the gods and the demons. During that war, the Devas were getting the best of the Asuras. So, to stay safe from the gods, the asuras went to the hermitage of sage Bhrigu. Sages Bhrigu and Shukracharya, on the other hand, were not there. Instead, Devi Kavya Mata was there. So, the asuras requested her to safeguard them, which she gladly did as Athiti dharma. The hermitage is protected from danger from the outside by a strong, invisible energy shield that not even the Devas could break through. So, when Kavya Mata looked at the Devtas, they all fell asleep at once.
All the Devtas' plans fell flat. Then they asked Lord Vishnu, the highest god, for help. So, to keep the balance of the universe, Lord Vishnu told his supreme Sudarshan Chakra to break Kavya Mata's shield and cut off his head. When Bhrigu rishi heard about what happened, he told Vishnu that he would have to be born as a human being on earth and go through the pain of being separated from his wife. When Shukracharya found out that this mother had died, he started to hate Lord Vishnu and made it illegal for Asuras to worship Vishnu.
Sanjeevani Mantra
Feeling angry and worn out by Asura's loss. Asura Guru Shukracharya did a lot of prayers to please Lord Shiva because he wanted to beat the gods. He was upside down for a very long time. Lord Indra sent his daughter Jayanti to stop Shukracharya’s penance after hearing about how hard he worked. But she failed because the rishi did not react to what she did. Lord Shiva came to rishi and gave him a boon because he was happy with how hard rishi was trying to be good. Shukracharya asked to learn the Sanjeevani mantra, which could bring the dead back to life. But Lord Shiva told him not to use it wrong before he left. The demon's Guru brings dead Asuras back to life using the Sanjeevani mantra so they can fight against the gods.
What does the name Shukra mean?
There was once a war between the Asuras and the soldiers of Lord Shiva. Nandi was in charge of the whole Shiv army. Even the gods in heaven helped the Shiv armies win this battle. But the Asura army was bigger than the Shiv army and was about to win. Together with the Devas, Nandi went to Lord Shiva to ask for help. Lord Shiva swallowed Shukracharya and kept him in his stomach when he found out that he had used the Sanjeevani mantra wrong. The demon guru lived inside Lord Shiva's stomach for thousands of years, trying to find a way out but failing.
He finally saw what he had done wrong and began to make up for it. When Lord Shiva saw how much Rishi cared, he forgave him and let the love out as semen (Shukra). Because of this, he was called Shukracharya. Since the sage came from Shiva's private parts, he was one of Lord Shiva's children.
