Navratri Parana Significance
Parana means the end of the nine-day Sharad Navratri. Dashami Tithi in Ashwin Shukla Paksha is Sharad Navratri's Parana.
The scriptures have two beliefs about Parana's Muhurat. Some think Navratri ends on the ninth day, while others celebrate on the tenth. Whoever fasts on Dashami fasts till Navami. If Navami Tithi occurs twice, fasting is done on the first day and Parana on the second. Kanya Pujan is performed on Navami after Maa Durga's Shodashopachara Puja.
Navratri Parana Mythology
According to Hindu legend, when Mahishasura caused trouble in all three worlds, the deities contacted Maa Durga. Maa Durga fought Mahishasura to free the gods and realms. The monster was killed after a nine-day battle.
The ninth day of Navratri is a sign of Maa Durga's power, strength, knowledge, and victory over Mahishasura. Navratri Parana is good for a new venture.
Those who fast and practice Parana on Dashami Tithi are thought to receive Maa Durga's blessings. Sincere worship brings tranquility and wealth.
Why did the goddess get the name Maa Siddhidatri?
Maa Siddhidatri is worshipped on Navratri's ninth day. Mythology says Maa Siddhidatri helped Lord Shiva obtain Siddhis. Lord Shiva was dubbed Ardhanarishwar because half of his body took on the appearance of a female deity. Markendey Puran lists eight Siddhis: Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakyamya, Inshitva, and Vashitva. Worshiping Maa Siddhidatri wholeheartedly is said to grant various Siddhis. Siddhidatri combines Siddhi and Datri. Datri signifies Siddhi-giver (Adhyatmik Shakti). She removes negativity, darkness, and ignorance from worshippers. Maa Siddhidatri is her name.
Maa Siddhidatri, the Giver of All Siddhis, Appearance
Maa Siddhidatri is serene and beautiful. Four arms: Her right-hand holds a Chakra and a mace (Gada). Her left-hand carries a conch (Shankh) and a lotus. She's on a lion and a lotus flower. Maa Siddhidatri's appearance bestows Siddhis.

Maa Siddhidatri rituals
- On Navami, the 9th day of Navratri, bathe and wear clean clothes. Maa Siddhidatri bestows all Siddhis. Maa Siddhidatri is revered during Brahma Muhurat.
- A Maa Siddhidatri statue or photograph should be placed on a clean surface covered with a piece of cloth.
- Next, ignite a lamp or Diya in front of the idol or picture.
- Fold your hands and focus on Maa Siddhidatri while holding a flower in each hand.
- Give Maa Siddhidatri a garland and some crimson Chunri and cosmetics.
- Now, give Naivedya, fruits, flowers, and other gifts.
- Then, perform Aarti for Maa Siddhidatri.
- Bhog, present Kheer and coconut (Nariyal). Offer sesame as well to prevent any misfortune in your life.
- The Chandi Hawan ritual is performed on Navami, and it is lucky to do so. This is also Kanya Pujan.
- After worship (Puja), share Prasad with your neighbors and relatives.
The Correct Method for Performing the Kanya Pujan
Some people do Kanya Pujan after Maa Siddhidatri Aarti. Kanya Pujan girls are Maa Durga's nine forms. Invite nine Kanchanakas and a lad to perform Kanya Pujan. Then wash and seat their feet. After that, honor them and carry out their Aarti. Serve them Puri-Halwa-Chana as Bhog. Seek their praises and give them gifts.

Maa Siddhidatri is said to prefer the hues of red and yellow. Under this pretense, a worshipper receives blessings and rich presents if they dress in red or yellow during their worship.
